About Us - Train Gif Usage

If you'd like to use some of the Train Gif images that appear on the website, you'll have to Contact us for permission to do so. Before you do, please read through these guidelines and rules for using the images:

• How to use them
  Train Gif images borrowed from this website may only be used as clipart, decoration, or as part of a virtual model railroad (gif scene). They may not be used in a gallery or showcase setting.



• Where to use them
  The Train Gifs may not be used on any sort of commercial site - that being a site that sells products or services, or promotes the sale of products or services for a business or individual. Personal websites with no paid advertisements (other than for the host server) are the only acceptable online venue. The images may also be used for personal, non-commercial means.



• Image Sources
  Please do not link directly to images on the Railways in the Niagara Region server. Once you're ready to put up the images, make sure they're sourced from your own server. Linking to someone else's server is bandwidth stealing, and is a tremendous headache for the original site owner.



• Credit and Citing
  Any images borrowed from this site must display credit for the images on every page that the images are used. The credit or citing must also be in close proximity to the images themselves; close proximity is defined as both parts being visible at once. The credit must cite Railways in the Niagara Region as the source, and contain an active and working link back to the Railways in the Niagara Region home page.
